We purchased Cutting Edge Grass Seed and seeded our yard in the fall of 2011. We are in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina in zone 8. We have hot summers, typically freezing ice and occasionally snow in the winter months. This has not affected my beautiful lawn at all. We could not be happier!!! This is the prettiest, most green grass that I have ever seen. We were the envy of our neighborhood this past winter and we still are to date. This grass grew fast, filled in fast and grew in areas of yard that we were never able to grow grass before. Much of the shaded and sandy areas of our yard were hopeless until we found Cutting Edge Grass Seed. On a happy note…we have only cut the grass one time since spring! I love the idea of not having to mow every week or even every two weeks. At the rate we are going, we may only mow once a month. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased and planted one of your 50lbs bags of seeds, I got lucky that the day after I seeded my front lawn we got in Florida a lot of rain day after day so the grass started germinating within 5 days !!, today 9 days after I seeded my lawn it is beggining to look fantastic !! my wife and my daughter are beside theirselves as this is the first time we have a great lawn since we bought the house over 7 years ago.

I replaced my lawn with Cutting Edge grass. I was impressed with how quickly it grew in. I thought it looked great at that point, but after a couple weeks, it became absolutely gorgeous - turning a dark green color and very thick. I purchased a bag of Cutting Edge Grass Seed in the spring.  I was a little skeptical, but I knew the owner of the store and he assured me that I would be thrilled with the result. I was planting the seed in a hard to grow area, and I had, until now, not been successful growing a lawn.
Within a week, the grass began to germinate. It continued to fill in and get thicker and more lush as time went by. The color is dark green.  I love walking on my lawn in my bare feet, because it feels so soft. We had an unusually hot, dry summer in the East and my lawn handled it like a champ. I mowed it for the 1st time last week, and it looks great.

It’s always been hard to grow grass at the house I've owned for 35 years. The property is shaded by big oak trees and there’s quite a slope on my property, which makes it difficult to mow.
I planted this grass seed to try to save some mowing during the season. I really thought it couldn’t be as good as they say, but it is!
I mowed it 1 time this season and it didn’t get too tall and stayed green and grew on the slope.  I didn’t get weeds and the rain water was enough to sustain it. So I really recommend the seed. I am a believer.
